TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32) Nashville, Tennessee Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1922000 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard. This vacancy is not eligible for membership to a labor organization. Duties As a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2130-09, you will support the DMC with the planning and execution of unit movements, and management of military convoys for all services moving within or passing through the state. Provide assistance in reviewing and validating Unit Movement Plans (UMP) and Unit Movement Data (UMD) prior to submission to US Army Western Hemisphere Command (USAWHC). Coordinates with the various State Departments of Transportation (DOT) to determine highway availability, restrictions, and permit requirements. Provide official estimates of post mobilization transportation capabilities and requirements and disseminates information to appropriate military commands. Collect, evaluate, and monitor information necessary to modify the Strategic and State Highway Network Database to meet DOD movement requirements. Review records on the location and type of military, state, and federal transportation assets within the state. Represent the DMC as the alternate representative to the State Emergency Highway Traffic Regulation (EHTR) Center when activated. Assist the DMC in day to day management of the General Services Administration (GSA) Vehicle Fleet as well as assigned Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) assets. Assists the DMC in maintaining, inspecting, and verifying serviceability of Army containers. Present instruction and assists in training Unit, BN, and BDE
