This National Guard position is for a TITLE 32 AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (UH-72A) (MI AASF1), Position Description Number NGD2390000 and is part of the MI AASF 1, Michigan Army National Guard. MICHIGAN ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Duties ***THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POSITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP*** This position is located in the Logistics function of an ARNG Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF). This is an Army National Guard (ARNG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. The purpose of this position is to act as an aircraft mechanic with responsibility for certifying airworthiness and managing the operational readiness of one or more aircraft, and proficiency training of supported aviation unit personnel. Responsibilities include detailed technical oversight of individual aircraft's level of mission capabilities and operational readiness IAW Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) title 14 Part 43 rules governing the maintenance, preventive maintenance, rebuilding and alteration of aircraft having a U.S. airworthiness certificate as well as guidelines and projection of maintenance requirements per the UH-72A Program Office to maintain individual aircraft operational readiness, ensuring aircraft meet airworthiness compliance as stipulated within the Army's UH-72A Continued Airworthiness Maintenance Plan (CAMP).
