Supervisory Natural Resource Specialist Multiple Locations Summary About the Position: Serves as Supervisory Natural Resource Specialist in the Technical Support Branch, Operations Division with responsibility to direct all aspects of recreation and environmental resource planning and development at 18 multiple-use lake projects and including the Missouri River Navigation and Mitigation Project. Duties Manage District natural resources management and environmental programs and policies governing the use of land, water and related resources Implement policies and procedures for effective management and execution of the Natural Resources Management Program Provide expert advice on the execution of the Natural Resources Management Program, to include all aspects of natural resources conservation, preservation, restoration use, recreation opportunities, and visitor assistance Render expert technical advice and guidance on unusual, controversial or complex natural resource management and environmental compliance problems Serve as liaison with other organizational elements; Federal, State and local governmental agencies; private interest groups and the general public in support of program section activities and responsibilities Perform the full range of administrative and technical Supervisory duties Assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignment and the capabilities of employees Direct employees and team members in the implementation of functional responsibilities of the Natural Resources Program Assure that operating lakes and river projects achieve and maintain compliance with the wide array of laws and regulations dealing with preservation, environmental protection, hazardous and toxic materials management, and pollution abatement Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges
