Lead Contract Specialist Kansas City, Missouri Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as Team Lead supporting a full-service District responsible for pre-award and post-award functions of procurements across a broad spectrum of Military and Civil Construction, A-E, and Service and Supply contracts of significant importance to the agency and its customers. Duties Responsible for planning, awarding, and administering complex, high-value acquisitions in a high-tempo, mission-focused environment. Oversees workload management, provides acquisition leadership throughout the procurement lifecycle, and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Advises Division leadership on acquisition strategies and contract execution risks Coordinates with PDTs, Legal Counsel, and other stakeholders to resolve challenges, maintain schedules, and procurement lifecycle.
