About this role
Frame and Design Specialist NA-06 West Point, New York Summary This position is located at the West Point MWR Arts & Crafts Center. NOTE: The official title for this position is Engraving Machine Operator NA-06. The "working title" is Frame and Design Specialist NA-06. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Duties Sets up and operates engraving machines to engrave a variety of items. Makes changes in machine setup, such as readjusting for different sizes of work piece or changes in shape. Uses specialized, computer based equipment for engraving and framing to create custom projects for patrons with a variety of materials to include paper mats, metal , glass, wood, etc. Uses other specialized equipment such as beveling machine, laser engraver, and COREL DRAW software, heat presses, copy machines and plastic/metal shears. Provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery. Provides one on one customer consultations. Provides safety instruction and demonstrates safe use of equipment. Participates in special events to market the engraving/framing services. Assists with placing orders with vendors for materials and supplies. Assists in the collection of fees, bank deposits, and daily activity report submissions.
