About this role

Fire Protection Specialist (Instructor) Fort Campbell, Kentucky Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Emergency Services, Fort Campbell, KY. Duties Provide instruction in all areas of training for the various levels of Firefighter Certification requirements. Assure all personnel are certified to required Department of Defense Fire and Emergency Services (F and ES) levels of training and certification. Prepare detailed lesson plans and summaries for general training and lesson outlines for specialized training and conducts training. Maintain records of all conducted training and career development of firefighters. Serve as Fire and Emergency Services (F and ES) division assistant safety officer responsible for compliance with all known safety guidance. Conduct classes for active duty, civilian, and visiting personnel in public safety education. Respond to emergencies during duty hours in order to observe deficiencies in procedures or techniques requiring correction through follow-on training. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
