About this role
REGIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR - DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY Travis AFB, California Summary Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is to provide program management of one or more Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regions and/or DoD Regional Office for regular Air Force (AF), Air National Guard (ANG), and Air Force Reserve (AFRES) environmental programs within the United States. Duties 1. Serves as an Air Force and/or DoD Regional Environmental Coordinator for environmental/encroachment programs with federal, regional, and state agencies in assigned EPA Federal Regions/states. 2. Ensures that Air Force environmental leadership is kept informed of significant regional and state regulatory trends and issues through the establishment and maintenance of a customer-oriented service relationship with all customers to include SAF/IEE, USAF/A4C, AFCEC, MAJCOMs, EPA Regional Offices, and other appropriate state and local/regional agencies and authorities. 3. As a key member of the AFCEC management team, incumbent is responsible for resolving problems, ensuring customer needs and expectations are achieved, and rendering sound management decisions.
