Security Specialist Dallas, Texas Summary This announcement is open to current or former federal employees and specific hiring authorities. Duties If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for planning, directing and administering a comprehensive district-wide security program. Typical work assignments will include: Serving as the district expert and principal point-of-contact for all physical security matters. Coordinating, planning, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of all physical security and systems, equipment, and building modification necessary to ensure adequate security is maintained. Participating in contingency and emergency preparedness planning efforts to enable the district to continue essential operations and discharge responsibilities during and following various types of emergency situations. Serving as the Communication Security (COMSEC) Representative responsible for the proper receipt, accounting, and safeguarding of COMSEC material. Providing clearance level information of USAO personnel and to other government agencies as needed. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Evaluation In order to be considered for this position, you must complete all required steps in the process.
