Duties Serving as a Law Enforcement Specialist (Core Instructor) (DHS Career Expo-JAX) GS-1801-11/12 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Core Training Operations Directorate (CTO) under the Office of the Associate Director for Training Operations (TOPS) and located in Glynco, Georgia. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Core law enforcement instructor involved in planning and conducting classroom instruction, laboratory, practical exercises and/or field instruction sessions for the topical areas listed below that report to CTO. Typical duties include: Serving as an instructor in the assigned Core Training Areas of law enforcement will include but are not limited to: Physical Efficiency Battery, Operational Skills, Intermediate Weapons (Oleoresin Capsicum), Basic First Aid, Tactical Medicine, Firearms, Vehicle Stops and Searches, Basic Collision Investigations, Radio Communications, Documentation and Report Writing, Use of Force foundations, Basic Tactical Skills, and Officer Safety and Survival.
