About this role
Human Resources Assistant Camp Springs, Maryland Summary Protect your homeland and defend your culture. Join USCIS, America's frontline defense against illegal foreign infiltration and fraud. As a Human Resources Assistant, you will provide support to USCIS customers on a range of time and attendance related duties to include: routine reporting, auditing, customer service, and timesheet maintenance. Duties The responsibilities described are for the full performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope performed with less independence, and limited complexity. Provide clerical, technical, and administrative support on time and attendance matters. Provide subject matter expertise regarding time and attendance. Apply agency policy to a wide range of time and attendance topics including, overtime, compensatory time, military leave, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Voluntary Leave Transfer Program (VLTP), Leave Without Pay (LWOP), and Use or Lose leave time. Maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) regarding time and attendance, provide content review of various documents on SharePoint sites, and update and maintain pertinent systems. Process a full range of actions; research and resolve customer service inquiries ranging from routine to complex. Respond to inquiries from a variety of sources and is the prime respondent to Timekeepers and Supervisors in time and attendance matters.
