Health Services Administrator (O-6 Billet) Supervisory Elizabeth, New Jersey Summary The Health Services Administrator supervises healthcare operations at large ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC) facilities, ensuring compliance with policies, and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include managing staff, overseeing contracts, monitoring programs, and maintaining high-quality care. The role requires adaptability in a detention setting. This position is only open to current USPHS officers. USPHS Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates are not eligible for this position. Duties DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as the Responsible Health Authority (RHA), overseeing the day-to-day operations of the healthcare services mission within the facility. Ensures the organization and delivery of health care in the facility maintains compliance with all applicable policies, accreditation standards, laws, and regulations. Collaborates with the Clinical Director and Nurse Manager, as a function of the Triad of leadership, to establish necessary processes and procedures ensuring provision of consistent high-quality standards of care are equally accessible by all detainees. Serves as the final approving authority for the facility schedule to support the mission. Maintains a collaborative working relationship with ICE-ERO, Custody, and outside agencies as applicable. Performs supervisory responsibilities to include, training and mentoring of the Assistant Health Services Administrator (AHSA) and Facility Healthcare Program Manager (FHPM). Provides administrative supervision to government employees within their rating chain and manages personnel issues, and potential resolutions when applicable.
