Duties Serving as a Civil Engineer (Structural) GS-0810-13 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Design and Construction Branch within Facilities Management Division under the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate located in Glynco, Georgia. The primary purpose of this position is to provide expert advice and guidance on agency architectural/engineering projects. Typical duties include: Developing procedures and instructions for determining and presenting engineering compliance data to support projects or program proposals for facilities. Independently initiating, conducting, and coordinating joint studies with training customers, architectural/engineering contractors, and other agencies for design, construction, and operation and maintenance of new and existing facilities. Providing professional engineering advice and direction to organizations carrying out facilities activities.
