Ameresco has an opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Federal Engineering team, supporting the design and execution of electrical systems for energy efficiency and infrastructure upgrade projects. This role will be based out of our Columbia, MD office. Responsibilities: Design and develop medium‑voltage and below electrical systems (typically 480V and under) for energy efficiency and facility upgrade projects, including preparation of drawings, specifications, calculations, and narrative scopes of work for retrofit projects in existing facilities. Evaluate existing electrical systems through site investigations and field data collection to inform design decisions and identify upgrade opportunities. Support project development by contributing to technical approaches, constructability reviews, and system‑level electrical design decisions.
