Visit www.cdc.gov Duties The Director, National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP), provides executive leadership and strategic direction for CDC's national and international programs focused on the prevention, control, and elimination of HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted diseases, and tuberculosis. The incumbent oversees the development and implementation of scientific, public health, and operational strategies; establishes long-range goals and priorities; and ensures the effective management of complex programs designed to improve disease surveillance, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and health outcomes. The Director serves as a principal advisor to CDC leadership, guiding policy development, program planning, resource allocation, and organizational performance to advance the Center's mission and public health impact. The Director collaborates extensively with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, academic, private-sector, and international partners to strengthen public health programs and foster innovative, evidence-based approaches to disease prevention and control. The incumbent represents the Center before senior government officials, Congress, public health organizations, and other stakeholders; leads cross-organizational initiatives; and
