About this role

Editor Multiple Locations Summary The Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Inspector General is currently looking for a Editor in the Office of Audits, Quality Management Team. Join our professional team of auditors, criminal investigators, and inspectors who help support DOE's mission through performance and financial audits, inspections of management issues and administrative allegations, and investigations into alleged violations of law. Duties As an Editor, you will perform a wide range of writing and editing assignments designed to produce quality publications. Major duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist with the edits, rewrites and reviews of all audit/inspection reports and a variety of other documents for the OIG that may be highly technical in nature. Recommend editorial changes designed to enhance the clarity of information, grammatical accuracy, cohesiveness, and consistency of fact and data with authors. Assist with providing guidance to managers and other OIG components on effective writing techniques and the effective use of graphics in reports and other written products. Assist in the preparation of a variety of presentations, charts, and visual aids for use in meetings, briefings, conferences, congressional hearings, and other forums. Utilize various information technologies to assist with the drafting and editing of materials, design work, and finalization of layout of final products.
