About this role
MATERIALS HANDLER (FORK LIFT OPERATOR) Multiple Locations Summary This is an open continuous announcement. The initial cut off date will be two weeks after the open date, after this date additional referral lists will be created as vacancies become available. If you are referred and not selected or receive a letter indicating, you were ineligible because of missing documents you must complete a new application package for this vacancy to receive further consideration. This announcement may be used to fill full-time or part-time work schedules. Duties Assists in loading and unloading of products to and from trucks, containers and other subsistence conveyances using forklifts, manual and mechanized pallet jacks, or other approved Material Handling Equipment. Participates in inventories. Performs a wide range of warehousing tasks to include receiving, storing, selecting and shipping perishable and semi-perishables subsistence. Checks, assembles and processes documents and routes subsistence and equipment to correct locations or storage areas. Prepares shipping and inventory documents with required data for manual or automated inventory systems. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
