ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSE (FORENSIC HEALTHCARE PROG MGR) Camp Foster, Japan Summary About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, DIR of Emergency on Camp Foster, Okinawa Japan. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Duties Serves as the Forensic Healthcare Program Medical Director and Forensic Healthcare Program Manager (FHP-D/M) to ensure patients within the Military Health System receive proper forensic nursing care in accordance with local and national policies. Conduct targeted medical forensic healthcare examinations for patients reporting sexual assault or other unwanted physical violence. Ensure a high level of health care for patients with chronic and acute illnesses and injury. Participate in patient education to promote the effective involvement of patients in their care. Oversee the process for approval of travel in support of the Forensic Healthcare team. Develop and presents formal and informal briefings and presentations at multiple levels. Provides leadership, mentoring and consultation to the MTF and installation leadership. Provide educational services to Sexual Assault Response Program (SAPR), Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARCs), Victim Advocates (VA), Family Advocacy Program (SAP). Provide Emergency Nursing care to Emergency Department patients when not performing Forensic Nursing responsibilities.
