Technical & Transactional Accounting Manager San Francisco, CA, United States #LI-CR2 #LI-Hybrid As a Technical Accounting Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering specialized accounting advisory services to our diverse and dynamic client base, including high-growth technology, biotechnology, professional services and consumer products companies. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring our clients receive expert guidance and outstanding service in complex accounting and financial reporting matters. We ideally seek a candidate located within the San Francisco Bay Area, in proximity to our CBIZ office, to support a flexible hybrid work model. Essential Functions and Primary Duties Work directly with clients and their external audit firms to lead and manage technical accounting advisory projects, covering areas such as revenue recognition (ASC 606), equity transactions, debt arrangements, business combinations, lease accounting (ASC 842), financial reporting, and SEC reporting Serve as the primary client contact, managing engagements, fostering strong relationships, and proactively addressing client needs Demonstrate a deep knowledge of the client's business and identify high-risk accounting areas Oversee and manage project timelines, deliverables, and client communications to ensure successful outcomes Generate written components of various reports/deliverables related to engagements Efficiently research technical accounting topics as it pertains to the engagement Train, mentor, and develop staff and senior staff members, promoting a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and professional growth Identify and implement technology solutions and tools to streamline processes and enhance workflow efficiency Actively
