About this role
Supplier Quality Engineer 2 Locations Supplier Quality Engineer - Hardware Meet the Team You will be part of Cisco's Global Supplier Management - Component Quality and Technology, working with professionals in Quality, Supplier Management, Engineering, and IT-and partnering across engineering and operations to resolve issues and strengthen the hardware supply base. Your Impact As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will lead and govern quality management for Power Supply, PCB, and PDL hardware commodities, ensuring vendor-supplied components exceed Cisco's rigorous technical standards. With cross-functional engineering and operations teams, you will use data analytics and AI (where appropriate) to implement world-class quality frameworks that monitor and mitigate supply chain risks. You will drive continuous improvement and global business impact through root cause analysis, supplier assessments, audits, Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), and Quality Improvement Plans-helping shape the future of Supplier Quality Management while building a resilient, high-quality supply base. Minimum Qualifications Education: B.S. in Engineering or equivalent, with an understanding of Operations, and Supply Chain. Experience: 2-5 years of Supply Chain experience (hardware commodities preferred) and 2-5 years of Supplier Quality Management experience. Project Management: 1-3 years of project management experience. Supplier Quality: Strong problem-solving skills; hands-on experience with RCA, CAPA, 8D, and failure analysis; working knowledge of quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001. Skills: Results-oriented mindset; ability to unite diverse teams to tackle complex issues. Communication: Strong communication skills with fluency in Mandarin and English (speaking and writing) Preferred Qualifications MS in Engineering. Experience in electronics manufacturing and component technologies.
