About this role
Quality Engineer Lysaker, Norway Your Impact As a Product Quality Engineer (PQE), you are a recognized expert within Cisco, performing complex quality engineering tasks using specialized domain knowledge. You will drive cross-functional engagement across Business Units (BU), Manufacturing (MFG), Product Operations, and Customer Experience (CX) to ensure our customers receive products of the highest quality, consistent with Cisco's brand. This role requires a senior quality engineer who can operate with minimal supervision, lead early design engagements and own the end-to-end investigation and resolution of complex quality issues. NPI & Design Engagement: Lead or co-lead early design engagement for products, ensuring quality and reliability requirements are integrated from the start of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. End-to-End Issue Management: Own the investigation, containment, and corrective action of quality issues from inception to resolution, ensuring robust root cause analysis. Strategic Thinking & Innovation: Proactively identify and resolve complex problems impacting a single or set of products' quality. Develop and deliver innovative approaches and lead major projects that contribute to the Quality Organization's objectives. Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive engagement across multiple teams (BU, MFG, Prod Ops, CX, etc.) and lead complex, cross-functional quality projects that will impact the business and scope beyond of assigned products. Data-Driven Decision Making: Use sophisticated analytical thought and advanced statistical analysis to design process, product, and service improvements. QMS & Standards Proficiency: Apply expert knowledge of industrial quality standards and the Quality Management System (QMS) to solve problems impacting the organization and assigned products.
