About this role

Transportation Engineer 4-Traffic *This position can be based in Edison, NJ, E. Hartford, CT or Boston, MA* What You'll Do In this role, you'll support and lead a wide range of traffic, safety, and multimodal transportation projects across the region, contributing to both project delivery and business development efforts. Key responsibilities include: Serve as Task Manager or Project Engineer on multiple work orders; support proposals and project staffing. Perform traffic simulation and capacity analyses using Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, HCS, and SIDRA. Conduct safety analyses using HSM methodologies and Safe System principles. Support multimodal and transit analyses and planning studies. Prepare corridor studies, PEL studies, and Needs & Deficiencies assessments. Develop Functional Design Reports and Preliminary Engineering Reports. Support Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) planning and design. Address community traffic engineering and safety issues. Provide peer review of traffic studies prepared by other consultants. Design traffic signals and signal systems, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
