Regional Controller Westbrook, ME, US Position Summary The Regional Controller oversees the operations of the Region's accounting functions, manages accounting records, and ensures all financial reports are completed and issued on time, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and that they fairly and accurately reflect the company's current financial standing. Ensuring the best decisions are made on behalf of the company, the incumbent works with the Regional Vice President, other regional teams, as well as company leaders to review regional and individual market area performance and identify opportunities for improvement. This position oversees acquisition activity within the region providing guidance in a smooth financial and operational transition to Casella systems ensuring accuracy in the interim financial activity from legacy systems. Key Responsibilities Manages the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of consolidated business results and proper execution of business plans. Establishes, monitors, and enforces internal controls to protect company assets to ensure productivity within the department. Provides management with financial information vital to the decision-making process. Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting software utilized in daily operations and makes suggestions for improvements.
