Lead Diesel Technician - 2nd Shift - $10K Hiring Bonus Rochester, NY, US Position Summary The Lead Diesel Technician performs major mechanical repairs with minimal supervision to ensure proper performance and safety of vehicles and equipment; makes all repairs in a safe, cost effective and time efficient manner. The Lead Technician will prioritize, delegate, train and instruct other technicians to ensure repairs are being done in a safe manner and is responsible for active participation in the company's progress with the career paths program and help technicians to move up in their careers. Hiring Range: $38-50 per hour Key Responsibilities Schedules, implements, and maintains a preventative Maintenance program for all vehicles and equipment at the division. Directs, trains, and oversees technicians to ensure all jobs are done with safety as a top priority. Ensures optimum performance and productivity in every vehicle, perform and/or direct the performance of adjustments, inspection or rebuild of all mechanical components and systems at the division. Guarantees complete and accurate documentation of vehicle repair and maintenance history by establishing and maintaining Transman program for every vehicle. Performs regular and ongoing operational analysis to maximize utilization of company resources and correct any deficiencies immediately. Assures full DOT compliance for equipment maintenance. Establishes and maintains a high level of professionalism throughout the maintenance facility. Coordinates maintenance activities with associated departments
