Position Purpose Summary : Supervise all warehouse operations which include training, inventory control, railroad, inbound delivery, piece pick, and loading. Job Description: Understands the company's vision, mission, and strategy; understands business unit objectives and sets/accomplishes individual performance goals accordingly. Supervises the logistics activities of receiving, storage and shipping to ensure error free order fulfillment, optimized fleet/network management, aggressive inventory control, superior customer service and efficient facility utilization. Included in these activities are inventory control, warehousing, transportation, logistics planning, order processing and customer service. Resolves quality, service and cost issues. Assists in driving the safety program for this VPP site. Drives the new Behavioral Based Safety program down to all of the asociates. Supervises relevant OSHA, federal, state, local and facility safety requirements. Drives and leads continuous improvement of the delivery and material handling processes. Responsible for process improvement using data analysis and root cause methology. Assists team in improving inventory accuracy through tight process
