Testing Engineer - System and Software Hyderabad, Telangana, India AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong Python and C++ skills to join our team and contribute to the testing, and validation of mission‑critical software systems. This role will work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to build reliable embedded flight software, automate test workflows, and support system‑level integration and verification activities. Key Responsibilities: - Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and test tooling - Good understanding in C / C++ programming (Able to read the code, understand control and data flow, debug the code with debuggers) - Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and debugging techniques - Experience working in Linux environments - Familiarity with Git or other version control systems - Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑disciplinary engineering team Qualifications - Exposure to embedded systems, HW‑SW integration, or system testing - Experience in aerospace, automotive, telecom, or other safety‑critical domains - Knowing MATLAB programming is an added advantage. Education: B.Tech \ M. Tech in Electronics \ Computer Science Experience: A minimum of 5
