Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux Systems Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on managing and optimizing our Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration, experience with CAD tools, and a passion for ensuring the reliability and performance of our engineering infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - System Administration: Design, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers and workstations used for CAD applications. Ensure high availability, usage optimization and performance of these systems. - CAD Management: Support and manage CAD tools and environments, including installation, configuration, license management and troubleshooting. Work closely with engineering teams to understand their requirements and provide solutions. - Automation: Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline system management tasks, such as software deployment, system monitoring, and backup processes. - Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect CAD systems and data. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. - Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and resource utilization.
