Electrician I - Kennesaw, GA Electrician I - Kennesaw, GA Nature & Scope The Licensed Maintenance Technician (Electrician) is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and general facility equipment. This role requires a valid, active Class II Georgia Electrical License to ensure all electrical work is performed safely, legally, and in compliance with state and local codes. The technician will also support general maintenance functions across the facility. This position requires the ability to independently identify maintenance-related problems, determine potential solutions, and decide when to contact external resources or escalate issues to the Maintenance Manager. When the Maintenance Manager is not on site, the Maintenance Electrician must be self-reliant in managing maintenance tasks and ensuring that plant operations, facilities, and grounds continue smoothly. Success in this role requires advanced technical skills, strong time management, and the ability to mentor less experienced team members while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Major Accountabilities Key Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with Georgia electrical codes - Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices and implement effective solutions - Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety - Inspect electrical components such as transformers, breakers, panels, and circuits - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings - Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements, OSHA standards, and company safety policies - Respond to maintenance requests and emergency electrical repairs in a timely manner
