Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician 2 (4 Day Work Week) Olathe, Kansas Overview We are seeking a full-time Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician 2 (4 Day Work Week) at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for executing the daily operations of maintenance of common and/or moderately complex repairs of equipment in Manufacturing and Warehousing/Shipping areas within Operations. 4 Day Work Week/Weekend Shift: Saturday - Tuesday, 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Essential Functions Perform basic preventative maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment and conveyor systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation, minimizing downtime and supporting continuous facility productivity Apply industry standards and procedures to develop, implement, and document operational processes Proficient use and knowledge of engineering tools Analyze data to determine quality trends and implement corrective actions Perform small projects and/or sub-projects as part of a greater project under the direction of a supervisor or mentor and able to work in conjunction with service providers Analyze opportunities for cost and quality improvements Completely execute Lock Out/Tag Out of equipment Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques Identify process/quality improvements and offer suggestions for improvement Demonstrate ability to identify & fix problems within a given trade Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers Coordinate between Planning, Purchasing, Production and Process Engineering Serve as a mentor to less experienced Maintenance Technicians (Maintenance Level 1) Cleanliness zone area requirements: This position requires Garmin provided
