We're seeking a visionary Tools and Automation Quality Engineer to architect the future of excellence for Apple Maps. You will dive deep into our complex, multi-platform ecosystem (iOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS and CarPlay), building cutting-edge automation frameworks, pioneering AI-driven quality practices, and establishing robust observability to proactively safeguard the experience for millions of users worldwide. This is your opportunity to be the hands-on force that defines, builds, and scales the systems preventing regressions, driving unparalleled reliability and performance for the world's most intuitive navigation! As a collaborative and innovative engineer on our team, you will architect, implement, and drive a comprehensive, automated quality engineering strategy across the Apple Maps app performance umbrella, spanning its foundational components to its entire user experience. This includes designing, building, and scaling robust automation frameworks and systems, alongside leveraging robust performance metrics, establishing observability standards, and advanced QE practices to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality, reliable, and performant products across its multiple platforms, including iOS and macOS. Implement and monitor performance metrics, health indicators, and engineering scorecards. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines; establish quality gates. Architect and evolve scalable test automation platforms. Drive advanced QE practices: AI-assisted test generation, log analysis, and anomaly detection. Establish end-to-end observability perfomance standards (metrics, tracing, logging, validation). Lead automated test design and implementation. Develop comprehensive performance test strategies and plans. Evaluate and integrate new testing tools and technologies.
