About this role
Panel Design Engineer Cupertino, United States of America Apple is looking for a world-class Panel Design Engineer to design, develop and launch the next TFT technologies for the portable, laptop and desktop displays in Apple products. The TFT panel design team is responsible for delivering the advanced TFT panel designs and technologies to enable the world's best display performance in Apple products. Individual will serve as a focal point in architecting and developing the total TFT pixel and panel designs for mass production. This includes TFT pixel/control circuit simulation, circuit layout/optimization, whole panel architecture/simulation, and co-existence simulations with other components in Apple products. TFT panel architecture scoping and definition TFT pixel and panel design, layout and parasitic parameter extraction TFT pixel and panel modeling, characterization, and validation Failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving for mass-production display development New TFT technology exploration, investigation, and validation Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including TFT process, Optics, Touch designers, Silicon designers, Mechanical Engineering and Product Design Collaboration with external vendors for display manufacturing International business travel to support project implementation Minimum Qualifications: BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience Experience in Electrical Engineering fundamentals (analog/digital circuit design) Experience with SPICE/Cadence modeling and simulation Preferred Qualifications: Experience/in-depth technical knowledge of displays or related electronics Experience in display pixel, gate driver designs Understanding of Thin-Film Transistors and panel process Experience in characterizing panel optical and electrical performance Experience in designing and manufacturing high-volume display products is Excellent written and verbal communication
