Join our Database Systems Engineering team within the Fleet Operation Engineering Group - the people responsible for keeping the systems and storage infrastructure that power Apple's services running at extraordinary scale. This role sits at the heart of large-scale storage operations. You'll own the configuration, provisioning, and health of SAN environments - designing automation tools that reduce toil, maintaining Linux infrastructure at massive scale, and partnering closely with developers, DBAs, network engineers, and EPMs to build the environments that make Apple's products possible. Configure and provision FCP and Infiniband multi-path storage devices across large-scale SAN environments Deploy and maintain Linux servers and external flash storage appliances at high volume Develop and maintain automation and monitoring tools to improve reliability and reduce manual operations Administer and troubleshoot complex SAN storage subsystems, including environments running Oracle and Oracle RAC Perform performance reviews and root-cause analysis on storage
