Bluetooth Software Performance Lead Engineer, Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems San Diego, United States of America Join the Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems organization and be part of an outstanding team of engineers driving innovation on products used by millions worldwide. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Bluetooth Software Performance Lead Engineer to lead a team of performance engineers and spearhead the optimization of software design across Apple's latest product lines, including the next generation of iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, Mac, and more. In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership to shape performance strategy and drive results from early prototyping through productization. As a lead member of the Connectivity Firmware Performance team, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of Bluetooth performance engineers, setting technical direction, and ensuring the successful execution of performance evaluation initiatives. You will define performance strategies at a system and product level, aligning engineering efforts with product goals and Apple's high standards for quality. Lead, guide, and mentor a team of Bluetooth performance engineers, providing clear direction on performance evaluations, root cause analyses, and optimization efforts Define new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) derived from new Bluetooth features and capabilities, ensuring they accurately reflect real-world product performance and user experience goals Own the end-to-end performance evaluation plan, including methodology design, test strategy, tooling requirements, and success criteria across SW/HW prototypes and production builds Synthesize performance evaluation results into clear, actionable insights for leadership, including identification of performance
