About this role
Communications Lead, Infrastructure and Engineering New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA About Anthropic Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role We're seeking a strategic communications professional to join our team and drive external storytelling for the engineering and infrastructure work behind serving Claude. This role will be the primary external comms partner to the teams responsible for how Claude performs in production, including capacity, reliability, and engineering. In this role, you'll craft compelling narratives that make Claude's inference and reliability work accessible and credible to developers, customers, and the press - across launches, milestones, and the steady drumbeat of updates in between. You'll build messaging frameworks for technical topics without losing the substance, and lead the communications response when an engineering issue needs a coordinated, cross-functional response. You'll also coach engineering and product leaders to be effective spokespeople. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with strong proactive and reactive muscle, has a genuine curiosity about how systems perform and the judgment to navigate nuanced, technical topics. You should be able to move fast, think critically, and collaborate across a wide range of technical and non-technical teams. You'll sit on the Product Communications team, working day to day with engineering
