About this role
Receiving Clerk Work Location (Country) United States | Remote/Onsite Onsite The Receiving Clerk is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming shipments. Job Responsibilities: Receives supplies and materials for overhaul and rewind areas; reviews purchase orders to ensure appropriate supplies and/or materials have been received. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Reviews paperwork for received items; issues work order; routes to appropriate department. Operates hand truck or forklift to unload shipments from trucks. Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED; and six months to one years previous receiving or warehouse experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute amounts such as discounts, interest, and percent. Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers, including the ability to speak simple sentences; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.
