About this role
Logistics Specialist Work Location (Country) India | Remote/Onsite Onsite Primary Responsibilities: Guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies: Perform duties to monitor, coordinate, track and distribute domestic and international shipments and receipt of material and products, between the organization, its customers and vendors. Manage inventory turns, conduct physical cycle count, inventory replenishment, obsolescent management, material kitting and report on inventory transactions to maintain control of physical inventory and related records. Main Task Duties: Review shipments prepared by others to determine compliance with requirements and note and communicate discrepant or missing items. Determine requirements for and generate shipping documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and carrier requirements. Select shipping methods and appropriate carriers from among approved group to ensure compliance with customer requirements and meet cost control objectives. Identify and label shipments. Contact and schedule pick up of shipments by carriers and regulate pick up times to meet shipping schedules and maintain flow of materials and trucks in dock area. Issue documentation to driver for receipt stamps. Monitor, track and trace import & export shipments and returned items, investigate, resolve and report on discrepancies and annotate computerized records as required.
