About this role
Apprentice- Logistics Support Chandigarh, India Provide administrative and operational support to logistics activities, ensuring accurate shipment tracking, agent coordination, documentation management, and adherence to internal logistics protocols. • Track import and export shipments and share timely status updates with all relevant stakeholders. • Prepare, review, and verify shipping documents including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and AWB / BL. • Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal trackers as per company protocols. • Coordinate with freight forwarders, Custom House Agents (CHA), and internal teams for smooth shipment execution. • Support import/export documentation and ensure adherence to compliance requirements. • Assist in shipment booking, delivery coordination, and follow ups until final delivery. • Monitor shipment progress, handle delays or issues, and escalate exceptions to the appropriate stakeholders. • Receive, verify, and coordinate freight and clearing invoices from logistics agents, ensuring correct reference numbers are applied. • Support invoice submission to Finance. • Maintain proper filing of logistics documents and support audits, MIS reporting, and data requests. • Provide general administrative support to the logistics department. • Bachelor's degree in commerce, Science, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. • Basic understanding of shipping procedures, freight documentation, and logistics workflows. • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially of Excel. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline. • Good communication and coordination skills. • Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously. • Self driven with a positive and proactive attitude. • Ability to work effectively in a
