Hand Soldering Technician Work Location (Country) Mexico | Remote/Onsite Onsite The Hand Soldering Technician is responsible for the precise manual assembly, soldering, and rework of electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to follow IPC Class 3 standards to ensure the highest quality in electronic assemblies. Key Responsibilities Perform manual soldering on through‑hole (THT) and surface‑mount (SMD) components. Execute rework activities using flux, solder wire, hot air stations, solder wick, and solder suckers. Interpret drawings, BOMs, component polarity, and assembly instructions. Place electronic components accurately following engineering and quality requirements. Handle moisture‑sensitive and ESD‑sensitive components according to established procedures. Inspect solder joints and assemblies using magnification tools or microscopes. Identify and correct defects in accordance with IPC‑A‑610 Class 3 criteria. Document completed tasks, rework performed, and any anomalies detected. Follow manufacturing procedures, safety rules, PPE requirements, and ESD controls. Maintain clean, organized, and audit‑ready workstations. Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements 3+ years of experience in hand soldering, PCB rework, and electronic assembly. Technical degree in Electronics or a related field (required). An Engineering degree is desirable.
