Engineering Manager Work Location (Country) United States | Remote/Onsite Onsite Amptek is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 10 engineers and scientists developing next‑generation radiation detection products and subsystems. This role is hands‑on and highly collaborative, blending technical leadership, people management, and project execution in a fast‑paced, high‑technology environment. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for guiding technical direction, developing team members, and ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and to Amptek's high standards of quality and performance. Key Responsibilities: Technical & Project Leadership Lead the design, development, and delivery of X‑ray and gamma‑ray detectors, electronics, embedded systems, and instrumentation from concept through production. Provide technical oversight and architectural guidance across hardware, firmware, software, and physics‑based design activities. Ensure engineering designs meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, and regulatory requirements. Drive technical trade studies, design reviews, root‑cause analyses, and continuous product improvements. People Management Directly manage and mentor a team of engineers and scientists with backgrounds in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, firmware, and related disciplines.
