System Development Engineer, GSE Automation, Amazon Leo Redmond, Washington, USA Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. We are seeking an innovative and solution-oriented System Development Engineer (SysDE II) to join our team to develop innovative solutions and automated pipelines for deploying SCADA infrastructure and platform as a service. This role combines hardware, software, OT and IT stack development for SCADA infrastructure and platform within an active satellite manufacturing facility. In this position, you will primarily work on backend code for IAC, CDK, and pipelines of full SCADA Infrastructure and Platform lifecycle to abstract SCADA deployment and configuration from SCADA Application development and provide engineering excellence for reliability and disaster recovery while ensuring optimal developer experience for the SCADA application developers and system integrators. Ideal candidate will have direct hands-on experience developing industrial applications using Ignition, deploying Ignition SCADA Platform through modern DevOps practices at scale, or hands-on deployment of industrial software tools to AWS with secure connectivity to equipment on the plant floor.
