About this role
Sr Technical Program Manager, Last Mile Delivery Automation Santa Clara, California, USA We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to own and drive the Data Management and Autonomy charter for Amazon's Last-Mile Robotic Delivery initiative. This role sits at the intersection of robotics, autonomy, simulation, safety, and large-scale data platforms, and is responsible for ensuring that the right data is captured, labeled, validated, and leveraged to continuously improve autonomous delivery performance at scale. The Sr. TPM will act as the single-threaded owner for cross-cutting programs that span robot hardware teams, autonomy software, simulation, safety, tele-operations, and Last Mile Tech (LMT). Success in this role requires strong technical depth, crisp execution, and the ability to influence senior engineering leaders across multiple organizations. Key job responsibilities 1. Data Strategy & Governance Own the end-to-end data strategy for last-mile robotic delivery, including on-robot data capture, edge-to-cloud pipelines, storage, labeling, retention, and access controls. 2. Autonomy Program Execution Drive the integrated autonomy roadmap across perception, localization, prediction, planning, controls, and human-robot interaction (HRI). 3. Simulation, Scenario Coverage & Validation Own programs that define scenario taxonomies, coverage targets, and validation strategies across physical testing and simulation. 4. Cross-Org Leadership & Alignment Serve as the coordination layer across autonomy engineering, robotics hardware, simulation, safety, tele-ops, and Last-Mile Tech. 5. Metrics, Readouts & Decision Frameworks Define and own the north-star metrics for autonomy readiness and data effectiveness.
