Sr. Software Dev Engineer, Offers Platform, Catalog Systems, ASCS Vancouver, British Columbia, CAN Amazon Selection and Catalog Systems (ASCS) builds and operates the systems behind the world's largest e-commerce product catalog, enabling customers to find, discover, and buy anything they want. The Catalog Vending team within ASCS owns the foundational building blocks for all catalog content across Amazon - the interfaces that project product information, availability, and pricing to every Amazon shopping surface. Our systems operate at trillions of requests per day at single-digit millisecond latency (P99), serving as the foundational data layer for Amazon's detail pages, search, checkout, and emerging agentic shopping experiences. We own the Tier-1 interfaces that power every product page on Amazon, along with precompute interfaces that serve hundreds of backend consumers across multiple catalog datasets. We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to define the technical vision and roadmap for Catalog Vending and lead the architecture for Amazon's next-generation catalog capabilities. You will: - Define the Catalog Vending technical vision - architect how Amazon's catalog evolves to support different shopping experiences across multiple store formats and customer segments - Lead next-generation catalog architecture - design systems that enable granular experience-specific product discovery at Amazon scale - without duplicating data or maintaining parallel systems - Define core catalog capabilities for agentic commerce - architect the foundational catalog building blocks that enable rapidly changing agentic shopping requirements You will architect solutions that: - Dynamically adapt product data based on customer experiences - Enable store-specific product
