Our mission is to deliver fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world through a constellation of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. Every system we build helps connect people to education, healthcare, opportunity, and each other. As a Satellite Communication (SATCOM) System Engineer, you will be responsible for Customer Terminal (CT) architecture, integration and validation with hardware, software, and firmware. You will work in a collaborative environment with a multi-disciplinary team including electrical hardware, antenna, simulation, silicon, algorithm, firmware, and software engineers. Key job responsibilities In this role, your responsibilities include: • Develop the CT architecture by working closely with sub-system engineers in electrical, RF, antenna, thermal, modem, DSP, ASIC, algorithm, firmware, modeling, and software • Develop the validation plans, build the validation infrastructure, execute testing, analyze data, and report the results to the stakeholders • Investigate and resolve validation failures by leading cross-functional teams • Ensure the delivered work meets technical, functional, performance, regulatory, and business requirements • Perform in-field and on-orbit validation with satellites • Travel up to 10% of the time, depending on project phases Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
