About this role

Software Systems Architect, Leo Ground Systems Redmond, Washington, USA Have you ever wanted to develop ground systems and related products for a high-performance satellite constellation? Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for a Software Systems Architect to participate in the technical definition, development, integration, test, production, and deployment of Leo ground systems. These systems include state of the art full motion tracking antennas, modems, and innovative supporting systems. Key job responsibilities • Become a Software Systems Architect and Owner, a key member of the Ground Systems development team with a focus on Ground Gateway and TT&C software systems • Lead ground terminal software requirements definition and design for project teams in the planning, design, and delivery of Leo ground systems software solutions • Serve as technical expert of ground terminal functionality and associated software interfaces • Research, analyze, and design inter-system/application interface protocols, behaviors and performance addressing cyber-security standards and network topology/routing as well as software engineering best-practices • Use a broad understanding of software engineering, network engineering and RF engineering concepts as it relates to ground terminal monitoring and control to develop solutions to problems and design issues • Manage day-to-day software related technical direction for the team to ensure project schedules are met and development roadblocks are resolved • Lead internal and supplier development teams to understand ground terminal software requirements and
