About this role

Principal Tech Program Manager, Multilingual Search Quality Bengaluru, Karnataka, IND We are seeking an experienced candidate with a strong program management background, with a well-rounded exposure to projects involving application of machine learning and AI. You will lead the team through a quarterly planning process, improve experimentation velocity continuously, and hold all stakeholders accountable to a high throughput. You will work with partners across the search orgs, and be responsible for milestones for various high visibility projects. You will develop and own mechanisms like flashes, launch announcements and monthly business reviews to maintain collaborations with business and country teams. As part of the role, you will play a strong role during the operational planning process of the org. As a technical leader, you will influence strategy and outcomes across various search relevance initiatives. Key job responsibilities * Carry out quarterly planning process with the scientists/SDEs on the team * Own plans for high visibility initiatives for improving the precision of search results, and drive towards them * Drive mechanisms like flashes and monthly business reviews * Maintain collaborations across business and country teams, driving competing priorities * Own experimentation velocity for the team, and find avenues for improving the overall throughput of experiments * Influence overall strategy to improve search relevance About the team The Amazon Search Relevance team creates customer focused search solutions for powering Amazon search worldwide.
