About this role
Operations Supervisor (Process Assistant), Outbound - Day Shift Melbourne, Victoria, AUS We're seeking for an experienced Process Assistant to join the team at our Fulfillment Center in Dandenong on a Wednesday to Saturday day shift. The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to receive, stow, pick, pack or ship. Key job responsibilities: - Support and work in other departments as required, - Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, - Providing coverage for Area Managers, - Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline), - Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours, - Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance, - Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance, - Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity, - Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals, - Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised, - Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area, - Coaching associates to work safely at all times - Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager. Basic Qualifications: - Previous experience leading teams - Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail) - Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members - Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required - Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Preferred Qualifications: - Leadership experience directly managing others
