We're seeking a driven Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team, oversee complex projects, and play a pivotal role in transforming the future of Amazon's logistics network. In this role, you will oversee the mechanical design of automated fulfillment center projects, leading cross-functional engineering teams from concept to completion. You will manage multiple projects and engineers, make strategic decisions, coordinate with stakeholders at all levels, and ensure seamless integration with other building systems while developing your team's capabilities. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Leadership and Oversight: • Oversee and direct comprehensive layouts for multiple automated material handling system projects • Lead the selection and specification of conveyor types, third-party equipment, and systems across projects • Manage coordination with electrical, controls, and structural engineering teams to ensure cohesive, integrated designs • Provide strategic direction and final approval on mechanical design decisions • Allocate resources and assign projects to engineers based on complexity and development needs 2. Stakeholder Management and Project Coordination: • Develop and manage mechanical engineering project plans, schedules, deliverables and ways of working across multiple projects • Lead coordination with internal and external construction teams to minimize layout conflicts and ensure efficient installation • Maintain excellent communication with on-site construction teams, clients, and senior leadership • Make high-level decisions to resolve complex field issues and project challenges • Balance
