To get there, we are looking for an exceptionally talented and empathetic leader for the position of an onsite EHS Specialist in a permanent position. A possible relocation will be supported if certain criteria are met. As a Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist, you will lead the EHS department at the respective Lab/R&D locations. You will work closely with the local management and report directly to the AR EHS Global Lab Safety Manager. Key job responsibilities • Owning EHS compliance for a robotics research and development lab • Conducting risk assessments and influencing implementation of risk reduction measures • Advising employees and management on the subject of occupational health and safety and environmental regulations • Advising and influencing designs around machinery safety requirements and standards • Familiarity and compliance with ISO 13849 • Implementing legal and Amazon internal requirements in occupational health safety and environmental regulations • Working with various support functions (HR, Engineering, Facilities) • Ensuring compliance with Massachusetts Occupational Safety and Health laws and guidelines as well as company guidelines and completing the necessary formalities to comply with them • Evaluating accidents and statistics and developing prevention programs to avoid accidents • Creating a safe work culture and promoting commitment to occupational health and safety measures of management and teams • Close cooperation with the local fire brigade, the occupational health and safety
