About this role
Hardware Development Engineer , Amazon Leo Redmond, Washington, USA Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Come work at Amazon! As a Hardware Engineer, you will be a part of the team of experts working on the development of advanced Customer Terminal products. You will own or contribute to the following: - Design high-speed digital and/or RF circuits in collaboration with various teams - Design and optimization of different blocks of electronics sub-systems - Schematic capture and lead PCB layout design and reviews - Design DC/DC power supplies and Point of Load - Support flow-down requirement definitions and generate test plans/procedures - Board bring-up and perform test campaigns of modules and subsystems - Support design automated test systems, test fixtures and factory test - Support the transition of the designs to mass production Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent - 3+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
