As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you'll apply your electrical or mechanical expertise to ensure the seamless operation of global cloud systems, directly contributing to the stability of one of the world's largest information system infrastructures. We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Engineering Operations Technician is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. If you like to use apply your electrical and mechanical skills to solve problems, we'd like to meet you. Your work will help to maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures. *Please note that this role involves working on a shift rotation that includes working early mornings, nights and weekends. Our sites are often in areas without public transportation links and would require access to your own transportation to the work location. Key job responsibilities Maintain Safety Standards: Follow and uphold the highest safety protocols, actively encourage a strong safety culture, and collaborate with other teams to identify and remediate safety risks and issues. Perform Operational Monitoring: Conduct routine rounds and take daily operational readings of electrical and mechanical equipment, including UPS systems, switchgear, circuit breakers, automatic transfer switches, diesel generators, chillers, HVAC systems, exhaust fans, variable frequency drives, and transformers.
