About this role
Director - Litigation, Regulatory, Labor and Employment, India Legal New Delhi, Delhi, IND Amazon's India Legal Department is seeking an exceptional legal leader for the newly created position of Director, Litigation to lead our litigation, regulatory engagement, and labor & employment practice across all businesses in India. Reporting to the VP Legal for India, ME, Africa and Turkey and based in New Delhi, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Amazon's legal strategy in one of our most dynamic markets. As Director of Litigation, you will lead Amazon's litigation practice in India, exercising strategic judgment to balance regulatory engagement with business impact. You will manage all ongoing and upcoming litigation matters including consumer issues, Competition Commission of India (CCI) matters, intellectual property claims, Enforcement Directorate investigations, FDA compliance, international and national arbitration proceedings, legal metrology, law enforcement response requests, and intellectual property and counterfeit enforcement actions. Leading a team of Corporate and Senior Corporate Counsels, you will devise innovative approaches to manage a diverse portfolio of matters while providing strategic guidance across various courts and the Supreme Court of India Key job responsibilities Litigation Leadership • Lead Amazon's litigation strategy across India, managing complex matters in various courts including the Supreme Court of India • Provide strategic counsel on litigation posture, balancing regulatory relationships with business objectives • Oversee consumer protection matters, CCI proceedings, IPR claims, and regulatory investigations • Direct international and national arbitration proceedings with sound judgment and business acumen Regulatory Engagement • Engage proactively with the
